CAIPD has worked with CBAA to try improve the relationship between its members and Nav Canada. As a result of the Civil Air Navigation Services Commercialization Act Nav Canada is the sole publisher of aeronautical information in Canada. CAIPD members are dependent on Nav Canada to have their clients instrument procedures published in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the delay in getting instrument procedures published has led to some CAIPD members clients waiting up to 18 months before their procedures are published.
CBAA, whose members use the services of CAIPD members, has worked tirelessly to advocate on CAIPD behalf. The following is the a report from CBAA on the latest CBAA Nav Canada discussions.
